t-shirt

Have always wanted to experiment with the t-shirt and skirt look, so here is my take on it. I feel that tucking a shirt into a skirt (that's quite a mouthful) is sometimes slightly uncomfortable.. this may be due to the fact that I'm extremely particular about the "tuck" of the shirt - the creases cannot be too overwhelming but neither can it be too neat. Does anyone understand me?! Anyway, it is so hard to find the perfect white t-shirt as well - I am still in search of one! Funny how the things that are the most basic are always the hardest to find. Want the most amazing dress with a train and in yellow, no problem, you can find it easily, but want a white t-shirt with the perfect slouch and cut? Well, good luck with that. And good luck to me as I continue my hunt for THE t-shirt.

PS, I know that whenever I'm wearing something cobalt, I will definitely match it with white. Well what can I say, it's like the holy grail of matching colours.

ripped

It's so hard to find the perfect pair of ripped jeans - the length must not be too short so it can be folded up, but not too long either else the folds would look screwy; the jeans must not be too ripped (I know I know, what a contradiction) and be positioned at the perfect spot; and most importantly the bagginess must be perfect. This pair from ASOS comes almost close to my dream pair. I'm just slightly disgruntled at the fact there is a bit too much rips on this, but for £14 (approx. SGD$28), what more could I ask for? I'm so clumsy though, that I've put my foot through the rips a few times today, and it's only my first wear of this! Eh. If only I were more skillful with anything domestic I would rip my own jeans, but knowing me.. I would probably end up with shorts. And a pair of lopsided shorts at that.

knit

Time to bust out the knits - Singapore has been exceptionally rainy these days; not that I'm complaining! Dug out this pretty old Zara top (bought it sometime back in Feb/March. Time is a scary, scary thing) and loving in it in all new ways. The 3/4 sleeves really provide a new perspective, and the back details as well. Isn't it weird how hard it is to find a pure white knitted top? Not off white, cream or beige, but pure white. Foreseeing myself layering this over denim tops & other shirts soon, that is, if the weather permits. This pair of jeans have also been worn to death, the cropped length provides something just a little bit different. It's all in the details! Awaiting another for another ripped pair from ASOS, cannot wait!

I've noticed that I've been wearing the same pair of flats for the past three posts. Ooops. It's not that I don't have other shoes, but what is more perfect than black flats? I can only think of one answer, and that's black boots. But eh, boots in Singapore equals to lots of staring (which I hate) and hot and sweaty feet. WHO WANTS THAT?

PS, Does anyone face the problem of their bags/clutches furring their knitted tops? I always do and it's infuriating, sad face. Plus I'm such a clumsy person! I'll pray that someone invents an anti-furring knit material soon, if that's even possible!

one piece

Have always been in love with jumpsuits - effortless, and it doesn't require any mix & matching. However... these do prove to be a whole lot of trouble when going to the washroom (as anyone should know!) so I always try to avoid wearing them on "long" days; read: days where I cannot take my own sweet time.

Love the geometric prints on this one. Am always on the lookout for prints that are subtle, unique, and not common. It's a hazard when most stores tend to use the same type of fabric, everything ends up looking the same at some point or another. Definitely got my eye on several more jumpsuits! I do tend to overdose on certain types of clothing, and all at once I will tire of it with no reason. Ah, well, sue me for being a girl.

Always over the moon when I find nicer (not to mention convenient) locations to take photos. Singapore has a rather lacking landscape where nothing stands out. Couldn't waste this chance to snap some more shots!

Popped by Zara, undoubtedly one of my favorite brick & mortar stores and died seeing this:

THE PERFECT PAIR OF BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOTS. Need I say more? Sadly I left empty handed, I doubt I would be getting much use out of these babies. Cue a non-stop rationalization in my brain on why I should get this when I know I shouldn't. Follow your heart or listen to your brain? This question is never not inappropriate.
