flow

My first time wearing a pair of legit heels that actually adds to my height; I've got to say that being even that slightly much taller gives me some kind of weird... power? That I am in love with. This is bad news as I foresee more of my money going to heels. Nooo. But honestly by the time night fell, my feet felt like they were dying. But practice makes perfect so let's give me a chance here. On another note I am so smitten with this dress - it just flows so perfectly and the silhouette is amazing. Not to mention, the prints are the bombdiggity, with that smattering of pale pink against the blue. Very forest fairy, isn't it?

PS, I highly recommend checking out Lantern at the Fullerton Bay Hotel. Stunning views and a lovely ambiance. Was blown away from the moment I stepped out of the lift into this rooftop bar.

night

Attended the annual F1 Singapore Grand Prix yesterday! Wanted to wear something more festival-y but eh. The weather here really prevents me from functioning properly, I was a hot mess yesterday sweating all over the place. Nevertheless, I had a good time. Both my top and shorts were lightweight enough for the 32 degree Celsius weather. (Yes, even at night. RIDICULOUS.) I love these shoes as it's got that little something extra to perk up an otherwise boring outfit. A con is that it's pretty heavy though, so I felt that my legs were practically detached from my body while walking. I may or may not be exaggerating.

PS, taking pictures at night is supremely difficult - or I am just too lousy to know the correct settings. Practice makes perfect I guess, but I will always prefer taking pictures in the day. Natural sunlight is the best kind of light!

height

Being slightly taller than average in this country (it seems presumptuous to claim that I am "slightly taller"...), I hardly - well, never is a more appropriate word - wear heels. Like, ever. But I decided to try out heels and honestly, I am loving it. Although I am a total mess even with just this 1.5" heel, but progress has to be slow and steady, no? Pretty excited to wear out the other 3.5" pair! I'm such an amateur. Anyway, doesn't this wrap skirt scream 90's? I remember when I was a child I used to have all these wrap skirts and dresses. Well but as they say, old is gold. White skirts are surprisingly hard to match even though it's such a basic colour. End up wearing something overly structured, and the outfit would definitely resemble a school uniform (the horror!). But I will never tire of white anything. Neverrrrrrrrr.

ripped

It's so hard to find the perfect pair of ripped jeans - the length must not be too short so it can be folded up, but not too long either else the folds would look screwy; the jeans must not be too ripped (I know I know, what a contradiction) and be positioned at the perfect spot; and most importantly the bagginess must be perfect. This pair from ASOS comes almost close to my dream pair. I'm just slightly disgruntled at the fact there is a bit too much rips on this, but for £14 (approx. SGD$28), what more could I ask for? I'm so clumsy though, that I've put my foot through the rips a few times today, and it's only my first wear of this! Eh. If only I were more skillful with anything domestic I would rip my own jeans, but knowing me.. I would probably end up with shorts. And a pair of lopsided shorts at that.

skorts

A skort: (aka scooter/skant, according to the ever trusty wikipedia) the perfect item this fall. Shorts may be overly casual at times, and skirts are a hassle when you just want to be comfy.. so skorts are def the way to go! Found this alternative pair to the Zara ones that are basically RAMPANT everywhere (rampant is an understatement, imo). Would have been happy to purchase a few more colours but sadly ASOS only stocks red and black. Pairing it with a t-shirt from Zara and I'm good to go! I am loving this (was thinking of getting more colours, OH NO I DIDN'T. Zara should consider giving membership because I have been wholeheartedly contributing to their profit these few weeks) t-shirt; its' subtle mesh provides a more sleek look, and the polyester material is absolutely lovely to touch. T'was sadly a rainy day in the usually sunny Singapore so I had to brave the rain to get these pictures. If there was a fall season here, I would think that it would be my favourite season. Cold enough to keep me happy but not freezing sub-zero temperatures, and oh the pretty golden leaves! One can only dream.

PS, pardon those creases on the skorts! Ain't nobody got time for ironing. Nah, I was just rushing for time. That seems to happen no matter how early I prepare, hmm. Plus I just received them yesterday!
